Vision:The vision for the Gold Coast Philharmonic Society Inc. is to project the Gold Coast’s cultural diversity through the performance and enjoyment of music and to present concerts at affordable ticket prices for the Gold Coast and South East Queensland community.
The Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra is a professional level full symphony orchestra run by and for the Gold Coast community.

The playing members of The Gold
Coast Philharmonic Orchestra are professional, semi-professional
and highly skilled adult amateur musicians drawn from the community
of the Gold Coast area.
The Orchestra performs the
full range of musical styles from full symphonic works, music from
all eras, baroque, romantic to 21st century, music from
the stage and screen, ballet and opera. The Orchestra encourages
local composers and has performed a number of original works.
The Orchestra presents up
to 4 concert seasons per year with affordable ticket prices and
variety in programming, guest soloists of world calibre and full
60 piece symphony orchestra live on stage.


The members of the Friends of
the Philharmonic are registered as Associate Members of the
Society and support the events of the Society and local musicians.
The Friends of the Philharmonic run boutique events featuring
concerts of smaller groups of musicians with afternoon tea/ wine
and cheese. Friends are able to attend open rehearsals, receive
discounts of ticket prices and receive regular newsletters and invitations
to special events.

Philharmonic Ensembles: String
Quartets, Brass and Wind Ensembles, String Orchestras, Chamber Orchestras
and other groupings of musicians are regularly formed from within
the Orchestra to perform at "Friends Events", corporate
events, conferences and other special events.
